About the artist ...
Launce Gribbin is a painter and a lecturer in the history of art and architecture. Early success as a professional painter led on to the study of Art History at the Courtauld Institute, after which he worked at the V&A and the London College of Printing and then as a tutor in Sotheby's Department of Educational Studies. He continues to lecture on a wide range of topics. A recent return to painting has seen the creation of this web site - it will grow over time to showcase more of Launce's work and act as a resource for those wishing to learn more about the background to his lectures.

A late discovery
Buried deep within the collection of paintings being sold off by Hertfordshire County Council is this scene of Trafalgar Square. Hopefully it will find a new home and not be confined to a dusty archive for ever more!
